Repeat prescriptions can be ordered by visiting the surgery with the back of your last prescription and ticking the items needed.You can now also order Via this website, please follow the instructions in the tab marked 'Order Your Prescription Online' on the front page. Alternatively, you can order a prescription through your local chemist.
Please allow 48 hours for processing your repeat prescription.
Remember items you request which are not on your repeat prescription may take a little longer than repeat medications.
Also please state which surgery you with to collect your repeat prescription from i.e Deane Medical Centre or Daubhill Medical Centre.
Please remember that we do not accept prescription requests over the telephone.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
